A surprisingly connected world.

In September of 2008, Amanda Palmer released "Who Killed Amanda Palmer". I was a big fan of The Dresden Dolls, and wanted to get this album. However, I resisted the urge to fire up Transmission and pull it down from from the interwebs. This morning, I happily went to Amazon and purchased the Who Killed Amanda Palmer (Special Edition) in MP3 format. As I was impressed with my remarkable self-control, I tweeted about it and included @amandapalmer. I didn't expect a response from her. Rather, I included her so my followers (both of them) would be aware (if they weren't already) of her, and perhaps also get turned on to her work.

Nineteen minutes later, Amanda replied to me and indicated the she wouldn't see any money from the sale. My tactic of withholding pleasure as a courtesy to the artist was for naught. Follow the thread of tweets in the image below. My friends and family will now be getting a lovely, hand-decorated copy of this fantastic album for Xmas
